This is just to keep you
up to date on one or two things, as several of you were
unable to come to the AGM. For those who have already
heard all this I apologise. |
|

|
|
| |
Firstly Tom and I are
unable to host any ‘Summer Extravaganza’ in our garden
due to an extension being built on the house but we do
have a July meeting to compensate. This is a visit to
the Forgotten Garden at Ford Place. We will meet at the
garden at 6.45pm where we will be given an informative
tour and also a little talk by the beekeeper. We have
been asked not to park in Ford Place but ample parking
is available at the river or Mary Rolton has also kindly
offered her driveway. |

Afterwards we will return
to the Wereham House for a barbeque – if it is suitable
we will eat outside but if cooler we will eat indoors.
Anyone unable to go to the Forgotten Garden is of course
welcome to go straight to the hotel for 8pm. Apologies
will now go to Carol Manderfield as she is the incoming
Social Secretary. |

Secondly, and my thanks must go to Lilian for doing all
the groundwork for this venture, is a trip to the
Olympic Village. This will be on Monday 5th
September and the coach will leave Thetford at 7.45am
and return by 7pm (times are approximate at the moment).
The tour is entitled ‘The Olympic London Explore’, cost
to included a ‘Toby Carvery Lunch’ will be £41 per
person. I am sure this will be a very interesting day
and the trip is to include husbands, partners and
friends. |

I would very much like to
be able to fill a coach and we must have a minimum of 30
(maximum 50) people. To this end I would be grateful if
you could let me know by the end of June if you would
like to go and numbers. This will then allow me to open
up any remaining seats. Please send payment by the end
of July with cheques made payable to Inner Wheel Club of
Thetford. |
